Engine cut-out
Hi guys
Bought a 4.5GRX early Jan. Whilst driving the other day the engine just died on me. Engine tries to run but just dies again as if not enough fuel.
Records show that a new fuel pump as well as relay fitted just before I bought it. Help,

Re: Engine cut-out
Hallo Andre
Normally I would suggest to have it checked out by Graham.... but I see you are in Paarl.... which might be a bit to far.
My question would be... is it the right fuel pump which was fitted to your vehicle ?
check the previous write up:

good luck

Re: Engine cut-out
With weak battery and alternator problems engine can also cut out. Happened to me, no indication of failure on instrument panel.

Re: Engine cut-out
Bossie, congrats on your buy. Maybe you should have bought a ZD30. They go and go untill they say BOOM. The dont have all these small niggles like the petrol Patrols have. Irritating little faults.
Just kidding man.... I see you are new. We have to throw in some humour no and then on the forum ne. So dont take it to serious....

Re: Engine cut-out
Thanks you all.
Where do i get hold of Frans. Previous owner adamant that correct pump was fitted. Hy glo daar is n elektriese probleem. Dit lyk nie goed nie, ek moet die patrol rond sleep met my Ranger 3.0 diesel.

Re: Engine cut-out
Will keep Frans in mind. Problem solved. Positive wire running through fuel pump housing making intermittent contact.
