Post by Tiny Howarth »

Existing Cap Genuine Nissan 1.2Bar

Hand Manual
Radiator
Unit: kPa (bar, kg/cm2, psi)
Cap relief pressure
78 - 98 (0.78 - 0.98, 0.8 - 1.0, 11 - 14)
Leakage test pressure 157 (1.57, 1.6, 23)

Nissan according to my van VIN number 88kpa (0.88bar)

Will this make a difference if i fit the Nissan 0.88bar. :helpsign:

The difference in boiling temperatures between those two pressures is 4.7 degrees. So your car might boil earlier.

If you prevent it from boiling, there will be no difference.

the VIN number spec is for Europe conditions. The AFRICA Nissan operates in much higher altitude adn higher ambient temperatures
Stick to the 1,2 bar Africa specs
