How to Cover an Original Euro antena hole on the roof?
Good Day!!
First and foremost, I would like to greet the moderator of this forum and the whole crew for allowing me to participate in this forum.
Can anyone assist me on how I can avoid rust on my roof? I just removed the original Euroversion antena on the roof, mounted at the back end part of the vehilce and it has a hole. What would be the best way to keep this hole sealed?
I am the new guy from Barcelona, Spain.
Best regards to all the memebers!
PS. If any of you intened to visit Barcelona I would be more than glad to show you around the city.

Re: How to Cover an Original Euro antena hole on the roof?
Hi Dominic
How big is this hole?
To start off with, I would recommend treating the edges of the whole with the stuff they use when installing a snorkel. If the whole is smaller than about 10mm, I would have a Rivnut installed, and then bolt on a washer with a rubber pad under it, using lots of sealant in the process. If the whole is larger than that, I would use the same approach but using a large nut with flattened sides rather than a rivnut?

Re: How to Cover an Original Euro antena hole on the roof?
Dominic - a great big most hearty WELCOME here amongst us - and do say "Hi" to Nikolai when you meet up [he is still invited to visit SA and do a "rough" trail with us ..
But to you - welcome
Now - I only believe my eyes - so pleas place pictures of you 'Trol [and the hole]
I see Grootseun and I have the same idea - close it op with a rubber grommet [but first seal the surrounds with outdoor silicone [Marine will work fine too]
Also - if water has already entered [perhaps] spray some WINFLON or similar teflon based oil spray in [it will flow where the water flowed] and if you really want to go overboard, "borrow" the wife's hair drier, and blow for a good 10 minutes into the hole with hot air to dry out any moist -- The you shoeld be O K against rust for 10 years or so
