Ls1 convertion

Goeie Dag Almal.
Ek weet Oom Mac gaan vir kiekies vra. Ek sal dit later opsit. :thumbup:
Wil net noem My Patrol loop nou met n LS1. Die Convertion het my 4 weke geneem om te doen.
Kar loop baie lekker en petrol lyk sover mooi ook.

Ek gaan engels try. Its a gen 3. Drive by cable not wire. I like the drive by cable. less electrics and cheaper licence to access the ecu. I wired the GM wireing to the patrol. Very easy. only 5 wires. exept for the rev conter and oil light etc. I used the Patrol gearbox with a the 6l Lumina clutch. There were some other mods I had to do ie: the fuel pressure regulator are intank with the Lumina. I had to fit a external regulator. No manifold do fit. Not the 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 or even the ls2. Some say that a corvette might work. I made branches out of mandrill pipes. Running a dual 63mm exhaust from the front to the back. A nice x-pipe in the front to mix the super v8 sound. I used the hydraulic fan. driving it with the chevy powersteer pump. Had to add a solinoid to turn fan on and off. The ls1 has a v-belt tentioner that I removed and fitted the nissan powersteering pump. So that stayed std.
I had to swop the sump out with a rear boal sump to clear the front axle.
The Patrol pull like a train, start and Idle perfect with the GM ecu. Idle control works perfect to. It is a realy nice convertion.

Al wat ek nie gelaaik het van die convertion nie, Ek moes my kar laat datadot voor ek die engine clearance kon doen. Maar dis ook klaar, te danke aan my vrou wat al die rond ry werk gedoen het. Datadot, hulle spray n kode 88 keer in n mens se kar.

Meer oor die radiator fan. Tinus daar is nie plek vir n vicous nie. Daar is baie plek tussen die engine en die radiator ja. maar die waterpomp pully sit te na aan die intake manifold. So n waaier sal nie kan draai nie. n Mens kan ook nie die waaier verleng nie want die engine se inlaat pyp gaan dit nie toelaat nie.
Daar is n manier om n viscous te gebruik. Ek sou eerder die hidroliese roete gaan. Beter as n viscous in my oe.
As jy die 'truck style' intake gebruik kan jy n viscous hardloop. Die intake se runners draai lekker hoog. Dit skuif dan die intake pyp ook op. In n Patrol sal dit ook werk en die bonnet sal reg toemaak. Die engine sit laag. Hoog genoeg om die diff te clear met n rear hump sump natuurlik.

Ek wil een van daai menere in my Hardbody sit, maar waar het jy 'n adaptor of bellhousing en flywheel gekry.Dis al wat ek kort om te begin.
