bridgestone deulers A/T
I have decided to fit bridgestone D A /T on my lorrie. Now must i go 1 size bigger. Did anybody do a 285 75 16 on a GL patrol. I tow a imagene (1T) at 120km/h with my rpm's at 3000rpm. 1. How much will this bring my rpm dowm at 120km/h. 2. will i need to change to 4th gear at the slightest hill.

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
I've got 285/75/16 BFG MT's on my 4.2 petrol and cannot say that I have noticed any difference in either power or fuel consumption. 285's really make the Patrol look the way it is supposed to look.
On the 4.8 you wont even notice it.

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
I have 285/75R16s on my 4.5 and I am still quite happy with the performance. I agree that you won't really notice them on the 4.8. The only thing is that they might touch slightly at the back under full flex.

Vaatjie, what is your current tyre size? If we know that, we cangive you an indication of how the engine rpm will change with the 285s fitted.

Just be careful - the 285 will not fit on the rear door without spacers. Wheels should be able to you some advise.

True. I just spaced mine away with washers. I will still have a proper spacer plate profiled.

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
Hi julle, wil net graag weet of julle dieselfde ervaar as ek met die Bridge A/T bande. Ek praat nou spesifiek A/T alleenlik. Onthou dit is my eie ondervinding!!!!
Om die rede kyk ek nie eers meer na A/T bande nie, veral Bridgestones A/T

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
Ek het die Bridgestone Duellers (694) op my bakkie gehad en nooit 'n dag se probleme met hulle op grond, sand of klip gehad nie.
Vir my is ATs die beste kompromie aangesien die Patrol meer tyd op die teer as daarvan af spandeer en in die kaap is pad-hou vermoë in die nat 'n baie hoë prioriteit

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
Ek sal niks anders as BFG MT, Cooper STT of Goodyear MTR's opsit nie.

Re: bridgestone deulers A/T
My bande is tans standaard grote.Nou is ek baie deurmekaar. What other tyres are available to look at if you are not a MUD fan. I like the AT's and this tyres suit my driving and camping-touring way of life.
