It is common for the locker to work, but the indicator switch does not.
Once activated, take a sharp turn (preferably on grass). The inside rear wheel should bite into the ground.
If it does not, then the activation switch does not work.

Trug by jou diff lock.

Sterkte

Hi Frans

That looks right. I.e. The solenoid that switches the little vacuum pipes from either sucking or blowing respectively.
Pull one pipe out at a time as see whether it is sucking (or blowing). Then, while in 4x4, switch diff lock on inside the car. That same outlet should then blow (or suck) Just don't take out both pipes at the same time, lest you forget which one was which!

What is the black knob all about?

Black knob?

Alex
There is only vacuum and ambient pressure involved in the action.
The vacuum is applied either to the engage or disengage pipe.
The two black "knobs" are vent holes to allow ambient pressure to enter the one pipe after vacuum is applied to the other pipe.

Hope this helps.

Chris.

Hi almal,

I have the same problem. Went to 4x4 course did the whole thing without any hassles, but on rocky terrain I engaged the diff-lock, went through the obstacle very easily, but just to find out my diff doesn't engage. Light just kept on flashing!

Drove with it on through other obstacles just to realize that it doesn't engage!

Any solution yet? Maybe I should take it to Graham?

Hi Jacques

This issue has been covered on many past posts if you want to read more.
The short answer is, the flashing light does not necessarily mean the locker does not work, perhaps just that the indicator switch is faulty.
Yes, Graham can resolve either issue quickly
