Iewers in die nabye toekoms gaan ek my eie bou.

Baie dankie, Thank you verry Blerry Much vir al die insette.

Peter

Of 100ah.

I have a Varta 70 ah thats been in for about 6 odd months. On the 4.2 we have no electronics, so the there is minimal demand on the battery other than heating those 6 glow plugs and cranking 6 cylinders over at 22:1 compression ratio. I run my 130watt KC's from this battery too, but also have a dual 100ah battery for the fridge, VHF radio, winch, and extra inter cooler fan plus extra power points for the kids to plug in PSP's etc. Even on the coldest days/nights a few weeks back in Lesotho ( with loads of snow ), not once did that 70Ah struggle to crank that motor over. .... BUT.... if space allows.... bigger AH is always better !!!!!! just watch out for space to fit and height of the battery.
Regards
Cedric

Whazzup Cedrick,

Yeah, I think something is chowing the battery when I'm not looking, and the alternator might not be doing a proper job. Or the battery has just reached the end of its short life. It's swollen a bit but still charges fully.

I suppose I have to get it to a clever Auto Sparky.

I have a 95 amp high cycle Deltec, and it runs very well. Like Cendric, not once in the very cold weather did we struggle. Coolent temp as -1 . More than enought space to fit this size battery in.

Like Cendric says ther is no sub for cubic inchs (amps) :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:
V8 Power
