Rear replacement Bumper

Post by SCUBA Patrol »

HI GUys and GUrls,

I had a meeting with a Fiat X19 the other day on my rear bumper, thou not big damage the left bumper lens is gone and the bumper and lens would have to be replaced.

I do not want to replace it with the standard plastic, The Pannel stealers quotes R11 000.00 for the Nissan OEM parts painting and fitment. A ARB replacement is R13 000.00. The insurance will pay the pannel beater price into my bank. Now I'm searching for RSA products. ONCA will manufacture a bumper if there are 2-3 of us wanting one..... I DO!!!!!

I have visited Len at hie Bredel work shop in Kempton park and man does the kit looks good. Price would be in the order of R7 000.00 without sapre weel carriers and R13 000.00 with deul spare weel carriers. Only thing is I'm in PE and can not get my car to him for making the jig and bumper. Are there any of you that would like one and can take his GU to Len for a week for manufacture of the bumper?

Kobus jy het PM

Groetnis van of ORT on my way back to the best place on earth!!

JG,

I have contacted Hein and they will only manufacture at the end of June. Do not know the cost thou?

Andreis, Onca will colour co the bumper but that would be extra, why colour co if black contains all the coulers? Or non of it? Will contact Len and get more info.

Kobus, Yes your bumper does differ from the later model's but the body work and wrap does not differ. Appreciating your assistance.

I have a feeling the bumper stiffner might be different on the later models, as the towbar is normally bolted to the recovery loop. On Kobus's the recovery loop sits deeper.

Yip, black contains all the colours, I've also owned a black car that become two cars - my first and last black car. Anycase, I prefer paint over powder coat and would still like it to have some of et curves of the original bumper.

It's good to get the specs, Does it
include recovery points
hight lift jack points
tow bar with removable hitch etc.
