Sorry - I did not recognise the truck. I also thought that you would have a spare wheel on (your bumper has a spare wheel carrier, IIRC).

Nice seeing you. Sorry I was almost too late with the wave. Busy day... :/

Alex,
It was a treat to pull in behind that nice sounding V8 on the N3.
She rock.
Glad you had a nice race in the mountains.

It seems that the Y62 Patrol has arrived in town. This morning I saw a pentechnican on the N1 South near Rigel Avenue (Pretoria) with brand new Y62s loaded. I was not able to take a pic though.

I've seen a couple of trucks with Y62's. Also drove behind a real-live one on the old N4 toll road just before Harties. That one had Botswana plates.

I was under the impression that they're only being released next year. So, either getting stock ready, prepping for a launch event, or they're vehicles destined to other SADC countries (Bots / Nam / etc). Would be interested to know - not that I'm in the market for one...

a bit of topic..... but

I have been notified by one of the Nissan dealers that the "new Patrol" would be introduced by the end of
the year and I would get an invite as soon as the vehicle is in the showroom.
I replied by asking if she was referring to the "face lift Y61" or the "new Y62" .

As a reply she send me numerous photos of the Y62 which she took during the dealer day
(i.e presentation of the Y62 by Nissan SA to the dealers)

Well, they better hurry, as the Y62 was launched by Carlos Goshn in Dubai way back in 2010!
Soon enough we will be two generations behind the Middle East.

Now, what would really make my (and many others') day is if Nissan decided to relaunch the GQ similar to Toyota's 70's Cruisers.
Unless they do that, I do not really mind if we never get another new design Patrol, ever.
