Kobus ... gaan koop vir Ma Amanda groot box tjoklits en bos rose en sê Oompie stuur - maar sorri van die skade man - lyk darm nie of daar belangrike goed doodgery is nie, Radiator en fan en cowling ... en dalk bikki suspensie en stuur ystertjies. Sterkte met die demmit man.

Late update!!!

1. Dennis (Mayhem) came all the way from Pretoria to swop the diff 3rd members. I had the ZD30 ratios (4.3) in and he swopped them with 4.1 ratios. The standard 2007 model 4.7 uses 3.83 ratios. With the 4.3 ratios Lasarus had too much power and tended to run out of revs when I applied a heavy foot. With the 4.1 ratios it seems as if I found a very happy medium between power, revs and speed. The power is still substantionally more than the standard 4.8 but the revs are acceptable.

2. Lasarus got his 2" OME today. He looks awsome. I was worried about the sump exposure behind the diff before the OME. Now it is neetly stowed away behind the diff, the way it should be.

3. Next week starts the hail damage repair exercise. It will take at least 2 weeks. After that it will be the snorkels turn to be installed. Only then will Lasarus allow me to post a picture again.

I fitted the 4.3 ratio's this weekend and tested it on the dunes on Sunday and I am also very happy with the result. (The rev's went up by 400 rpm)

Excellent! I went down to Douglas and Bloem last weekend with Lasarus. It was a 1300km round trip, including about 70km gravel road and a Ventertjie in tow. Lasarus goes very well on the open road. Almost no soud hearable, fantastic power and no more "over rev" feeling in the lower gears. The fuel consumtion was even better than before. I never exceeded 120km/h and achieved 7,01km/l true distance (GPS).

He is at the spa at the moment for his skin treatment.
