It also helps you to see better where the bumper corner is in tight spots.

I need some comments please.....yes or no for this mod.
Short answer is yes.
I had mine made to curve slightly around the front corner, to protect the indicator lights and that part of the body too.
I find that useful when cornering past a tree or rock, then slipping. So the corner of the car goes straight instead into it, when you actually ment to turn.

But I am not convinced yet to further extend it like Dirk to connect with the rock sliders.
One issue is that it may hinder your space occupied in traffic / parking.
If on the other hand it is shaped more tightly around the wheel arch, then I am not convinced it will be much help in protecting your body.
Also, you need to go really intense offroading before that degree of protection is necessary.

Where then do you draw the line. You can also connect the rock sliders with a cross bar in front of the front windscreen, and up to the roof rack.
Then you can make yourself roll proof.

Alex!!!!!!!!!! don't give me more ideas please :oldtimer:

I must say that they work for me with regard to climbing on the bonnet for the roof top tent :surprised: I also added the ladder at the back and it works brilliantly for the rooftop tent.

They are over the wheel arches so don't really make the vehicle wider but seems to be just far enough to safeguard the body in a little fender bender without touching the body, lets hope I never find out.

Michael, I like mine on my bumper purely for the fact that Patrols have the turning circle of an ox wagon. I use the vertical pipe as a reference to where my bumper is in relation to the dinky car that parked cockeyed in the local Checkers parking lot
