of oorweeg die opsie , net jammer oor die prys.........

Thank you for you enquiry with RG Motorsport regarding your Patrol. To date we have not developed a kit this vehicle and I think it would be an awesome vehicle should we have the opportunity to do such a development..I will estimate around 320kW on the flywheel and app. 650-700Nm of torque. For RGM to do such a development we would need the vehicle for a minimum of 3-4 months and your contribution will be app. R150,000. A new development costs around R650,000. and RGM subsidizes a large part of that. Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you be interested in this conversion

Good luck Bartho. I was looking at the same conversion, but it definitely costs too much. If you are planning on using a 4.5, then you wil have to change your conrods for that type of KW. You will also have to use an after market ECU for your fueling as the standard one will not work. I have imported an LS2 V8 from Oz now, with 412hp. Once I have all the adapters etc. I am probably looking at about R60000.00 and I should be able to sell my original 4.5. It has the unichip and brand new branches to go.
Just a thought.

Dis op my wishlist. Watter groot verskille is daar tussen die turbo en supercharger. Ek praat nie van koste of die werking van die twee opsies nie, maar die voor en nadele van die twee.

Hi
Ek sal probeer opsom:

Supercharges:
Pro's:
1. No lag whatso-ever
2. good power and torque everywhere
3. In the event of an breakdown in the bush you simply remove belt and continue

Negatives:
1. Expensive
2. Not very power effective (use engine power to make power)

Turbo's:
Pro's:
1." cheap" power Not very expensive

Negatives:
1.turbo lag
2. Breakdown -- stranded

Thanks sums it up it seems.
