4x4 4 Kids 31 May 2014

Post by Alex Roux »

Hi all

Please see the add attached. This is the first of two 4x4.4Kids events for 2014. It is part of the Nissan Offroad club events calendar, and sponsored by Nissan SA. This event does not apply exclusively to the Nissan Offroad club, but the invite is sent out firstly to you. Depending on the numbers of vehicles that will take part (i.e. the number of responses from you), the invite will be extended to other clubs and organisations too.

Thanks
Alex

Ian, it will be held at the ADA Training outdoor centre (www.ADASA.co.za)
Same place as where the Nissan Offroad club year-end function was held:

e will need at least 10 vehicles but the more the merrier. We expect at least 20 kids, plus a few guardians and parents (for whom this will also be a treat). I am sure closer to the time we will get more volunteers. Remember Nissan SA sponsors the day. They will take pictures etc. and we do not want to disappoint them!

I was at the track this morning to inspect.
Definitely a "Baby bear bed" grade track, i.e. not to hard, and not too soft. Just right.
All stock standard proper 4x4's can drive it quite easily.
There is a bit of a twister, some sand pits, a few mud holes, which should be dry by end of May, and that can be avoided if you want to, and a few steepish inclines and hill descents. The latter is what I would expect the children to enjoy most. For those who can remember from the Nissan off road club year-end function last year, this is an intersection of two uphills. So we will need someone at the top to guide the traffic. We will do this between 11ish and 12 on the day. Then back to the base (very close) for boerewors rolls, jumping castles, face painting etc. For kids who want to, some can redo the track a few times thereafter. The kids will be on their way back to school at around 3:30.

1) Mac - Prado - 4
2) Georgeb - Hardbody - 2
3) Ian de Villiers - Hardbody - 2 (voorlopig - sal dalk oorsee wees)
4) Tim Klopper - Terrano - 2
5) Christiaan Visagie - Hardbody - 2

6) Alex Roux - Patrol - 4
7) Theuhan - Patrol - 2
8) Aton du Plessis - Patrol - 4
9) Charles Fry - Patrol - 4
10) PeetO - Patrol - 4
11) Thabbies - Patrol shortie 2(?)

Those who have not emailed me directly, please do so, so I can have your email address, for confirmation and few minor details closer to the time.
P.m me for that. Thanks!
