I sent an e-mail to Nissan SA regarding my dash as I had seen on the Aussie Patrol forum that Nissan there were replacing the pimply dashes. Within a day or so Nissan called me for more info and then came back to me telling me to get the vehicle to Boksburg Nissan for inspection. This I did on a trailer on the way to TNT for a full system On my LQ9 ( LS 1 ) engine. Aday later they came back to me to say that Nissan had warranted the replacement at no cost. I was shocked. Anyway only after 4 or 5 weeks did I drive the Patrol to Nissan Boksburg and they changed the dash in one day. The colour doesn't match the original which was black. The new one is a blue black but I can live with it.
I would like to thank Nissan SA and Boksburg for their excellent service. THANK YOU.

Re: Pimply dash
You one of the lucky ones!
They agreed to fund half the cost for replacement on my Patrol - the total cost they said was R14000 and I would have to pay R7000.
I took the vehicle to Leathertek in Pta and they recovered for just over a grand. I am very happy with the outcome.... some pics in one of my previous posts.
