Peak power output
Does anyone know at what rpm the 4500 petrol puts out its max power? As for you guys with the 4500 petrol ,what do you find is the best rpm to change gears at?

Hi Toyford
In the city I rarely go over 3000 refs before I change gear. On the open road when accelerating I take it up to 4500 refs or a bit more. The last time I dyno'ed my car the top power was at 4800 ref or so.

Hi Marino, that surely does tks. The vehicle has so much power i normally do 2500rpm in town and around 3000-3500rpm on open road.

Hi I had a look after my previous post and I cruise around town at 1800 rpm or so. Change gear at 2300 +-. Open road I change at 3200-3400. Depends on what mood I am in.
The top power is at 4800. Checked that too.
