Normally the Patrol hardly feels the extra weight but this time it was different. On the open road I didn't feel any difference but as soon as I get a steep uphill there is no power. Going back home on Monday was hectic as the roads were quite busy and as soon as I hit an uphill the speed drops from 120 to 60 and at one stage it went as low as 45!

I realized that it was either not getting fuel or something else was blocked as this is not normal.
Well here are the results: - a blocked fuel filter - look at all the mud!
I still can't believe that it ran so well under normal conditions because I tried to blow through it with my mouth and couldn't get any air through. Just shows how powerful the fuel pump is.
Tip to self: From now on I will carry a spare filter in my toolbox!
