Hi Roy

Did you ever got to the bottom of what caused this?
The diesel should not have stalled, unless you were static in deep water

Hi Alex

I have a video- ready for youtube in a day or so, but sadly it doesn't do justice, there were a couple of factors for the motor

- Speed / momentum
- Bow wave bounced back off exit and filled engine bay...
- Poor design on both the air intake and
- Air vents between "BAK" and cabin. Haven't seen them on other patrol bakkies? This caused the water ingress while the car was "parked" on the inclined exit. Nissan reckon if water got by the air vents we were "OUT OF SPEC". I disagree as these vents were above except for the exiting.

Needless to say we're HAPPY no damage was reported and are fitting a snorkel. I'll post pics with the air vents as I don't know what we going to do there...
