Thanks Glyn & everyone else who made it possible!
PS: I think a hand winch is more suited to a Jimny than a Patrol

Re: Nissan 4x4 club - 21 April - Recovery training
Can the guys that attended please explain to me - if i look at the pics it looks like when you were winching the patrol with the handwinch they used the "loop" on the rear bumper as the recovery point ?
I seem to recall a few posts and even some on here where it was expressed that this is in fact not a recovery point ? Has this since changed or is the original posts to be disregarded ?
Please guys i dont ask to stirr , i was unable to attend and have been using mine as a recovery point but have been told and read it on several occasions that this is not safe so would like the newly trained's opinion

Re: Nissan 4x4 club - 21 April - Recovery training
The towball was the one with the pin that you can use as a recovery point but it was fitted with galvanized bolts that is not strong enough for recovery - that is why we had to use a different procedure!

Re: Nissan 4x4 club - 21 April - Recovery training
Thanx Kobus , so if a i am correct the Loop is still not the official recovery point ?
I was told albeit by a guy that trains for Jeep that one should never use any form of recovery point in the centre of vehicle but one that is directly inline with your chassis or then use a link that joins both the recovery points that are inline with the chassis to one central point , any opinions on this
