Thanks guys!

The next day, a couple of cars had to come back, mainly for work reasons. Marius was kind enough to bring most of the wedding parephenalia back, so we got up fairly early and started washing dishes and packing up all the wedding parephenalia. By 10h00 everything was packed and Marius and Gustav were on their way. Tinus acoompanied them to make sure they got through the mud.

We spent the rest of the day resting and exploring the island.

The next day we moved on. We had a long way to go and a lot to do, so we started fairly early.

Our first challenge occurred when we got to the Vet fence just north-west of Kubu: The gate was locked, and the compound deserted. I climbed over the gate to the new lodge/camp just on the other side, and found the manager very friendly and helpfull, however unfortunately he didn't know where the vetirenary staff were, nor did he have keys. We ended up breaking the lock and donating one of ours in return.

The next challenge was that the filling station at Gweta was dry. Fortunately, we had jerry cans.

In Maun, we had to resupply, and decided also to have a late lunch at the Spur. However, the service was shocking, and this ended up delaying us even further.

We eventually arrived at our camp for the evening, Kaziikini, just after sunset. On the access road, we met Christo and Hermien (the new owners of Agarob) who would accompany us for the rest of the trip, going for a walk. They showed us our campsite, and we got settled in

Shortly after dinner, my brother took a walk and discovered that in the short time we had been there, an elephant had pushed over a tree over the access road, about 20m from the entrance to our camp. We were now in the bush! :blonde:

The next day was a relatively short distance, just 100km or so to Third Bridge, giving us a fair amaount of time for game viewing. Early morning rain helped us pack up camp a lot faster, and this persisted untill lunchtime, making lots of mud for us to play in.

Some fantastic Pics. You are probably the best dressed and most formal visitors to the Island. Once again congratulations.
