EXEL replacement tank (fuel) SOLD
I have a 145L replacement tank that will fit a GU or GQ it is only 2 months old. It is to big for my Hardbody/Patrol (looks ugley from the back) so I will go back to the origonal tank. Retail price is R 6500.00 + fitment, I will let this one go for R 4500.00 (not neg). This is a new tank with all the latest modifications.

Re: EXEL replacement tank (fuel)
Hi Ricster,
Go to LA Sport Centurion and get yourself a custom tank build. I think it is better to have two tanks, rather than one big one. I think the biggest problem with longrange fuel tanks are that they are too big and the weight is just too much to carry and therefore the cracks/leaks on the seams. Especially where the brackets are.
The tank LA Sport makes does not have brackets, but is in a aluminium harness that is attached to the body of the car.
Myne is now in the car for more than two years with bad roads up to the Serengeti and anything aftermarket that can survive the Serengeti roads is good.
I use a seperate pump to pump the fuel from the extra tank to the main tank. I also think it is good to have two tanks, if one is damaged, you still have another one to fall back on and you don't loose all your fuel!!
Something to think of, visit LA Sport, talk to Herman and tell him that I refered you for the extra tank for the Patrol.
My tanks now are 95L main tank (original) and 70L extra tank. To fill it up is another story.
