Kan julle asb vir my die web adres gee van die 'PATROL DOC''.Ek het in februarie vir my n 3.0 Patrol gekoop en is BAIE in my skik - was altyd n Isuzu man.Gaan n EGT meter en intercooler fan die waarborg benadeel?.Maak die intercooler fan n verskil aan die krag / diesel verbruik?.Ek het n snorkel op laat sit maar kan nie regtig se of daar n verskil is nie.Die Dastek chip maak n groot verskil op my Patrol.Ek was nou in Junie Namibia toe deur Botswana ,4 groot mans met n sleepwa,ons het 5000 km gery en die gem. verbruik was 7km/l.

Die EGT gauge is n moet!!!!
Die intercooler fan , dit is n baie slegte ontwerp van die Japanese om die intercooler bo die enjin te sit.Geen wind kom daarin nie tot en met 90 km/u. So maw jy het dit nodig om windbeweging te veroorsaak deur die scoop. Voordeel daarin, jy sal ontmiddeilik voel daars meer wringkrag teen lae spoed. Myne hardloop permanent.
Dit kan glad nie n waarborg belemmer nie!

@ Koos or Stefan... A while back Tony had a problem regarding loss of power to which Koos responded? I posted a response this morning and is curious to know if this started, gradually or just suddenly...reason is I also have a 2003 3.0 Di GRX however mine has slightly higher mileage and I don't know if my problem could be linked to what he experienced. I was previously a petrol head meaning I have no clue what to look and listen for as diesel 'tell tale' problems and signs. What I noticed is that also between 100 - 120 it feels sometimes as if there is a lack of power. Not that bad but it's there and if you accelerate past this it seems to go away. It also does not always happen??? It almost feels like a petrol engine losing some fire due to a plug that's about to go. Has any of you experienced something similar with your 3.0 D's? What do you think could be my problem and how big or bad could it be?

Ongelukkig betsaan daar eintlik nie 'n eenvoudige antwword op jou vraag nie. Soos ons al heelwat tevore op hierdie forum debatteer het, is daar TALLE elemente (onderdele) in die ZD30 enjin wat op elke spesifieke moment (afhangende van verskeie faktore soos kragstelling ens) perfek in balans moet wees met al die ander elemente in die ketting. Die ZD30 enjin (en feitlik alle ander "high tec" diesels) funksioneer op grond van 'n ketting van boodskappe wat ingesamel word deur lug sensors, beweging sensors, temperatuur meters ens, dan vermeng word deur die ECU en dan weer toepaslike instruksies kry wat om te doen aan die turbo "pitch", hoeveelheid diesel wat toegevoer word, ens...ens... Elkeen van hierdie onderdele is baie sensitief en word deur die geringste steurnisse soos vuilheid geaffekteer.

Dus, 'n spesifieke simptoom kan die gevolg wees van verskeie oorsake. Dis net hier waar die ZD30 Nissan eienaars voel die tor val van die prop af by Nissan SA. Hulle verstaan nie die dinamika van hierdie balans nie en weet nie hoe om dit tegnies te bestuur nie.

Op grond van jou beskrywing is dit 'n tipiese ZD30 simptoom. Sonder om die regte soek-proses te verkrag, sou ek by die volgende goed begin soek het voordat ek na die ingewikkelde meganiese dinge gaan kyk:

1. MAF sensor vir vuilheid en/of foutief.
2. Turbo boost sensor (dieselfde)
3. Vuil intercooler en valve body.
4. EGR klep.
5. Vakuum.

Sterkte. Ek hoop jy kom reg.

@ JG : Thanks man...weet nie waar my goed na verdwyn het nie toe post ek weer sonder dat ek jou reply gesien het. Sal met iemand wat ken van praat en jou voorstelle gebruik as begin punt. Die lang en kort van dit klink dit vir my nie asof ek baie veel het om my oor te bekommer nie en dat die enjin basies net so vol k%k soos my vrou kan wees as hy die dag wil. Nietemin die 3.0 het my sover baie beindruk maar ons het nog so paadjie of ses om saam te ry....sal maar kyk of ek hom gou weer 100 kan kry...

Langman,

Ek het my ZD30 ook baie geniet, en hy het 275000km gegee voordat hy gegroete het. (in retrospek het hy ook nie agv die klassieke probleme gegroet nie, maar bloot agv 'n waterlek in die verkoeler en gevolglike oorverhitting) Ek dink steeds dat die balans tussen krag en ekonomie binne die swaar Patrol bakwerk baie goed is met hierdie enjins. Die kort en lank van daai enjins is dat:

1. Sorg dat al die komponente reg werk en skoon is.
2. Installeer 'n EGT meter en hou die temperature binne perke.

Indien bg gedoen word, glo ek die enjins kan baie ver gaan. Dikwels koop manne ongelukkig 'n voertuig op 'n kilometer lesing waarin die vorige eienaar hom reeds seergemaak het sonder dat hy dit weet. Dis dikwels daai voertuie wat dan die hadste byt.

@ JG : In terme van die ECG installasie...is dit n' duur storie om te instaleer en hoe ingewikkeld is dit om te doen? Aangesien jy al n' rukkie besig is met die manne van hier behoort jy seker my na iemand in PE te kan verwys om my touwys te maak. Wanneer dit by diesel kom moet ek maar van voor af leer van al die dinge wat die wiele laat draai...
