eisjjj - Jasper - 1e: WELLKOM hier tussen ons nommer 800
2 - hoe lank is 'n stuk tou???
Krag =4,8
brandstofverbruik = so naby as demmit aan vloek is die twee ongeveer dieselfde

:mytwocents:

I have had more than one 4.5.... The 4.8 is awesome
4.5 100K 4.8 170K and up! Is the power worth the peanuts? OH YES!
And you are still using the same amount of fuel, tough one buddy!

The 4.5 is a real work horse with very little things that can go wrong! I would love a 4.8 motor under the hood!!

Ja, ek dink dit is sekerlik 'n goeie opsomming.

There's the rub, soos Willem Wikkelspies gesê het. Ek het my 4.5 vir R95000 gekoop. Ek wou nie meer as R100k spandeer nie en die 4.5 het my toegelaat om wel 'n Patrollie te kon koop.

That is also a good point; a manual 4.5 is a lot less daunting in terms of technical complexity than a 4.8 with variable intake manifold, variable valve timing, dual overhead camshafts, multi-valves, tiptronic type electronically controlled gearbox, etc. Fortunately the Japs have an uncanny ability to create machines of astonishing complexity that are still super reliable and the 4.8 Patrol is a case in point  .

Then again, I am sure the Y60 men will argue that their steeds with carb fed TB42S motor takes simplicity to yet another level; the most important bit of electronics on one of those beasts is probably the electronic clock on the dash   .

Jules, jy jok :naughty:  Jy "drool" al lankal oor 'n 4.8 :rolling: .

Any patrol is better than no patrol..........if you can get a 4.8 to fit your buget go for it!!!!there is nothing wrong with the 4.5 just a little less power.....but still more than you will need
