Hi All,
Talked to Ronel and there is a Battle Field tour near Volksrust for the Sunday (For those who don't want to do the short 4x4 route)
The guy that does the tours is Gert v/d Westhuizen, an expert on the subject.(Already booked) We are currently 2 vehicles for the tour.
Price is R1000 for 5 vehicles and 10 persons. R50 per person more than the 10 persons.
We will visit the museum at Gert's place, 12 Km further towards Vrede. Will also visit Genl Piet Joubert's grave and a cave where you will need headlamps.
Will also visit Majuba mountain area, with memorial graves of soldiers. There is an entre fee of R50 per vehicle and a charge per person.
Please let me know if you are interested!

Sounds interesting Wilfred, a good history lesson where to Brits got a hiding - I am in, as I indicated earlier!
Lets hope we can get at least 3 other vehicles interested.

Re: Battle Field Tour at 3 Provinces
Hi Wilfred,
I did the tour last year and was disappointed. All the guys does is give dates and locations. At the end of the tour at his house he then starts asking for donations due to an accident he had. I would not waste my time.

Re: Battle Field Tour at 3 Provinces
Thanks for the advice Grant, we (Chris and Wilfred) are now thinking of doing the tour ourselves and not use the tour guide.
