6.6L Duramax v8 tdi motor in Troll

Basically this guy wanted more power, so he stripped out the 4.2tdi and transplanted a 6.6L Duramax v8 tdi motor !
SPECS :
Engine type: 6,599 cc (402.7 cu in) V8 turbo
Bore x Stroke: 4.06 in (103.1 mm) x 3.90 in (99.1 mm)
Block / Head: Cast gray iron / Cast aluminum
Aspiration: Turbocharged & Intercooled
Valvetrain: OHV 4-V
Compression: 17.5:1
Injection: Bosch High Pressure Common-rail
Power / Torque: 310 bhp (230 kW) @3000rpm / 590 lb·ft (800 N·m) @1600 rpm

The Duramax V8 is an engine used by General Motors in their full size Chevrolet and GMC pick-up trucks and SUVs. It was designed by Isuzu and was the replacement for the old 6.2 and 6.5 Detroit Diesel V8s.

Manne en hul speelgoed........... Dis tog so mooi!! 'n Mooi opgeboude Patrol bakkie het nie sy gelyke nie maar 'n oorspronklike Patrol bakkie is nou nie regtig iets vir die oog nie.

Hoekom lyk dit of die bakkie 2 snorkels op het - en dan wys beide snorkels nog agter toe ook - of bedrieg my oe my??? Ek dog die doel van n snorkel is om vir die engin vars lug te gee - en dit gebeur tog ook met die vorentoe beweging van die voertuig waar lug dan in die snorkel in geforseer en ingesuig word. n Snorkel wat agtertoe wys het tog n "vacuum" voor hom in die beweging van die voertuig.
Of het ek nou heeltemal die pad byster geraak???

Pieter, hy het beslis 2 snorkels en hulle kyk wel agteruit. Ek dink die enjin se vraag na lug is so groot dat een snorkel te klein is. Die inlaat kop bo mag dalk soortgeluk aan die vragmotors s'n lyk wat nie die "vangnet" tipe is nie. ....Maar...ek dink daai bakkie is so vinnig dat die koppe eenvoudig omswaai agtertoe wanneer hy wegtrek!!!

I also saw the two snorkels, but if you look at the earliest pictures you can clearly see where the left-hand snorkel's pipe comes in through the inner fender, but on the right side I can't see any sign of the pipe entering the engine bay, so perhaps one is a dummy?
However I think the owner of this car jouned the forum a few days ago, so perhaps he can answer the question? Rob (duramax Dreaming)?
