I have ordered the adapters from Mark Adapters in Oz, and they will hopefully be here next week.
The Patrol and motor get picked up next Thursday and the stripping can begin.
Going to the dunes on Sunday to give the 4.5 it's last run in the patrol.
Hopefully by December we will be burning up the 35's. :woo: :woo: :woo:

Awesome news Alan....thats going to be a BEAST of a Patrol when its done!! Can`t wait to hear it!!

I am sitting in Singapore at the moment, and I believe my adapters have arrived in Cape Town and should be on their way to the shop
Now to get hold of the shop and find out if the motor is out.
It really is a downside being away when this conversion is happening.
I have asked the guys to take pictures for me.

Hi Alan

Don't know if this is good or bad news for you - but here it goes.

I was there - your old motor is out - but that's it (at this stage).

New one is still on the cardboard under the plastic wrapping.....and I was there today at 12h00 - does not look like anything else is going to happen today still. Nothing else has bee done to the engine bay on your vehicle self.

Hope this helps.

Regards

I phoned them after my last post. They are trying to put the adapters together and they are also waiting for me to either find or order engine mounts as they could not find any in SA. I might be able to get some, or failing that I will order on Monday from Oz.
I am not too worried about how long it takes as I am pretty busy until the end of the year.
As long as the job is a good one at the end. I will hopefully be back in SA towards the end of next week so will go and put a small push on.
Thanks for going round and checking, helps me in knowing how far they are.
