2014 CRD GL Rim advice

Post by ra_01 »

Hi

Purchased a 2014 CRD recently. I am intending on replacing the standard steel rims with after market 16inch with -21 off set for 285/75 R16. I have not installed a lift kit, but this spec shouldn't be a problem, if the front mud flaps are removed.

Can anyone recommend a good after market rims, preferably steel? On-line search is very confusing

Thanks
Regards
Rahul

Tinus has stock 16" steelies for sale. They have a stock offset, so they will work fine without a lift.

I have no idea what aftermarket rims cost, but the stock ones sound expensive to me. Maybe I am just stingy?

Hi Christo, I have standard 16inch on the car. Just want to swap them for -22 offset for wider track. I think the standard rims are at +10, I may be wrong.

It is my understanding that most of the aftermarket rims are much weaker than the OEM stuff.

I had a set of A-Lines years ago. They pretty much all got bent.
Not sure if there's any good way to know before one buys.

Hi Peter, thanks for the advice. Had a chat with Ants today, he thinks the standard stellies are -23 offset. So I will just keep them.
