4.2 patrol bakkie.

Ek het uiteindelik einde November n 4.2 koolstoof by Tinus gekoop, nadat hy seker al 4 jaar karring aan my.

En toe, heel onbeplan, kry ek 2 weke later nog een. Net met n ambulans bak op.
Ek het n loadbox in hande gekry om ambulans mee te vervang, maar nou jeuk my gat om die 2de een in n dc te verander.

Dink daai eerste bakkie kort nuwe agtervere. lyk of hy al redelik baie gesak het.

Hoe sou jy die double cab bou? deur 'n stasiewa se body te sny? Ek weet jy hou van leaf springs, maar ek sou dink 'n DC sal beter werk op coils, omdat die DC se bak so kort sal wees dat jy moeilik die leaf springs gaan laai. Tensy jy beoog om die wheelbase langer te maak, dan is dit dalk 'n ander saak.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Em is noggals nie gekant om die wheelbase ietwat te verleng nie. So dat ek die 1.2m bak sonder verlenging, by 1.8 rond kan kry.

En ek wil juis die bladvere agter hê, om die vol 3.4 ton gvm van pickup te gebruik, ipv die 3 ton van die stasiewa. As mens n stasiewa in dc convert, sit jy met 500kg laai gewig. Met bakkie sit jy met 900kg dravermoe

Bakkie is netnou geregistreer.
Tarra is opgesit as 2700kg. Gvm as 3400kg. Ek glo ek sal in kom hier rondom 2600kg tarra.
Ek gaan bak sny net voor wheelarch. Gaan stasiewa laat op chop vir die agter deure en interior. Sal my 4.2 pickup se onderstel sny en met ongeveer 600mm verleng. So ek mik vir n 140” wheelbase stasiewa met 1.8 meter loadbox.

Ek hou definitief die bladvere agter, want ek wil die vol 3.4 ton kan gebruik, en die 1.8meter bak gaan toelaat vir baie laai spasie. En ek sal n goeie dakrak bo op kan laai bo op alu kappie.
