Luderitz na Walvisbaai trip.

Post by Eddie Solomon » 31 Mar 2019 19:05

Dan enige ander advies sal ek baie waardeer?

Dankie almal byvoorbaat.

Eddie.

Hi Eddie, The fuel with your full tanks & spare in top tanks should be fine but 190kg on top of the roof rack? seems a bit much to me but if the tour operator thinks its fine...

I used to drive the Atlanis dunes in CT a lot a few years ago in various 4x4's.

After having a few full out goes at making a dune face the standard procedure was to at least face the radiator in to the breeze if there was any wind and yes sometimes open the bonnet to get rid of heat build up.

I used to let my Kumo 33" muds on my 4500 Patrol down to 0.6-0.7 bar when the sand was very soft and hot. Otherwise it would just bog down with all the weight. And make sure you have a really good compressor and recovery kit etc. The auto box should make it a lot easier to drive in sand than the manual.

Hope this helps Eddie

Sodoende raak ek gou ontslae van my gewig! Nee manne, ek is nogsteeds bang. :helpsign:
