Spotlights

Post by Stefan »

The el-cheapo spots that came with the Patrol when I bought it was finally removed this weekend after one of the lenses fell out on that terrible piece of road from Cape town to the Winlands 1-Stop.

This isn't really an issue for me as they never worked (or were disabled), but the front-end looks a bit nekkid, if you know what I mean, so now I'm looking around for new, REASONABLY PRICED, lights.

What do you recommend, and where did you locate the switch for the ones on your vehicle?

I bought a set of Bosch spots, complete with Harness etc, which were on special at Diesel Electric. Great quality, good price, as they were on special. They resemble Hella Comet 500s but at half the price.

Stefan,

IMHO, I would simply upgrade the headlights to HIDs - nowdays even cheaper than buying good spots. Must be one of my best upgrades!

John,

Are the HID lights a DIY bulb upgrade, or is it a little more involved?

Stefan,

Hulle is beskikbaar in aftermarket ligte teen ongeveer R1500 per lig.
Patrol fan!
