Project Bullbar

Post by Izak »

I saw an add in the Cape town Gumtree for a Patrol Bullbar. It looked like a ARB Sahara bar, and after looking at 100 foto's comparing that one and a new Patrol ARB, I decided to buy the bullbar.

Paid for it and then the problem arose as to how to get it to Gauteng. By train is the cheap option. Then SANWU decided to strike.

Eventually the strike is called off and the Bullbar arrived :woo:

I have stripped it, will send it for Powder coating and will keep you up to date.

Now that is a problem. The foglight inserts cost R 500 each.

Paid R 2600 for the bar and R 150 on the Shosholoza rail.

I got quote for powder coating for R200.

I am sure I will be able to get foglights and indicators that is not ARB approved but then, a Sahara bar for R 4500 max is not to be sneezed at and pirate parts are part of AYOBA

Cannot get it straight. Will take it to CRD on Monday to help.

Those little IPF spotlights cost R 4000 for a set :rolling: That is not gonna happen. I will start looking for Pirate parts 'n Monday.

Looks good! - I like the white / black contrast on a white Patrol.

Keep us updated on the lights as I too feel R4k is too much for the spots!
