Post by Digger »

Hey guys , hope all are doing well,
Quick one, are there any other options on a Master Cylinder for a 89 4.5 , besides Nissan's R2700.
Thanks a lot

Not criticising aftermarket, but my master cylinder internals are still the original ones, after 21 years and almost 900 000km. If they need replacement I will fit the Nissan original part.....

I hate to brake () it to you but OEM nissan components are made by everybody out there with a forge.
It's like buying a Samsung TV and all the internals are my by LG and Telefunken.
Just badged by Samsung.

I think this may have been read out of context bud. I don't believe it was a personal crit or anything like that, in my opinion. What both of you said makes perfect sense though. Some things are just better from OEM agents (irrelevant if it is a car or a tv), but some things from aftermarket can be as good if not better... all depends I guess on personal choice.

Anyways... we are a friendly forum and always will be.

Do you need the whole cylinder, or just a kit? Is the bore worn? Of not, the kit is relatively cheap, even from Nissan.

If you do need to replace the cylinder, You could get a second-hand one from Dawid, or you could have yours sleeved.
