Quick Pitch Rtt Kit
Today was n big day.
This was a long waited dream come true today. A one and only ever to be done kit everything was custom powder coated to fit to my car. For the people that are familiar with Quick pitch product will know they come only in one colour scheme.I Will try and take some better pics where everything is open

Re: Quick Pitch Rtt Kit
That looks very nice, congrats.
I really like these kind of tents, they look like theyre very easy to pack away compared the the conventional roof tents that can occasionally be a mission to pack away again - having to tuck all the flaps in on all the sides and squeezing them closed.
My only problem with these nice big tents is they take up the entire roof rack, so now no space for jerry cans, wood, camp chairs etc

Re: Quick Pitch Rtt Kit
Thanks Graham
Yes extremely fast to pack up and to set up the tent is literally under a minute to set up and the awning as well
I had the same battle in my head which way to go canvas or hardshell the canvas gives you more space on the roof but when solar was a requirement for me i opt out for the hard shell my dual battery system is mainly victron units which gives me the ability to take charge from the alternator and solar all at once or separate and if you count that in to the equation if you go the same route with canvas there isn’t much room left for jerry cans and all the other stuff on a roof rack.
Plan is to build a small roof rack in front of the tent for small stuff like gas bottels etc and on the rear bumper a double jerry can holder

Re: Quick Pitch Rtt Kit
Depends on how much space you require on top and how you mount your tent...graham1 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2020 10:54 That looks very nice, congrats.

Remember these have a proper hard shell so you can overhang at the rear easily 30cm or more as your rear tire sticks out a lot.
If you mount your rack as far back as possible you can also fit an additional "slate" in the front which then extends your rack.
I have my tent on the rack 2 solar panels on tent roof, and in front I have gas bottle, Front runner water tank and gas shower.
Underneath rack another solar panel and table.
One side is the awning and other side I have the drop down shower. I also modified the shower with a Furnlock slide so I can move the shower cubicle that it slides towards the bonnet and is then not in front of the driver door.

Re: Quick Pitch Rtt Kit
I don't have pics with me, but will post when I can...
These new drop down shower cubicles mount directly onto the roofrack, so all I did was mount a furnlock slide (the one's we use on the drawer systems) onto the roofrack and the tent onto the slide, this then gives me the option to move the shower forward so that it is next to the bonnet.
Mine goes/ slide till it is past the mirror of the GQ.
