The thing is, when your family is wiped out by a unroadworthy taxi you'd be wishing we had coppers this strict.

There's a lot in this video, and general vehicle law there, that is just plain ridiculous, however, you only have to look at the road fatality records there to see that it's maybe worth having.

They take no nonsense there. imagine them seeing what our taxi drivers do here, pffffft.

Tinus would be locked up in a matter of minutes.

Russ, without a shadow of a doubt, there is a LOT of merit in what you say, and if the law here was as such, I believe that we would still have the Patrols with the lifts etc, but we would have to go through the schlep of getting the relevant documents, which would be a pain in the ass indeed.

Having that kind of policing here in SA would be a blessing, but sadly there is not enough room in the jails to house all the taxi misdemeanors nevermind all the rest of the reckless driving.

Lucky we are for our own personal passion, however to many road users, we are so unlucky....

Thinus.... hin hin my model citizen......HAHAHAHAHAHA !! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

The problem is that both suspension and engine mods in SA are illegal. Completely.

And I am not aware of any legal system to make them legal.

Thus virtually every person on this forum would be in the dwang...

Really?.... I had no idea. I figured that if one used a, for example Iron Man suspension kit, and fitted it at an accredited installer, then all will be well.

I have my suspension lift included in my insurance cover, and the aftermarket turbo setup..... they never said anything to the contrary

Well, I hope I am wrong, but that is how I read the law.
