Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi to all, my Patrol is in the market.
Reason I am migrating back to Land Rover, I was offered a Disco 3 low mileage.

This Patrol is very well kept by myself , I bought it from a Toyota agent.
Its done 196 000km. It got a new engine, complete overhauled , new Turbo , new pump ,new injectors ect ect with only genuine parts by Nissan in Pmb.The motor was rebuild by the oldest motor engineering firm in Natal. Before I bought it I spoke to the old Oomie that personally rebuild it and did the installation. He told me that just the parts on this engine was R 65 000.00 .
The engine burned a hole through the Piston at 174 000 km according to Pmb from overfueling and contaminated diesel.Its got a FSH until 170 000km.

So, the engine have done 22 000km with no commuting , just long distance travel.I personally have serviced it every 5000km myself. I have also replaced the condenser radiator of the air con. approx a yr ago.
The vehicle is an excellent condition. The previous owner used it as a taxi to pick up kids from hostel in the midlands to and from Zululand.

Extras are alu. bull bar, excape seat covers,EGT gauge . I will be taking the dual bat. system out and the Thomas air compressor.

It not all set in stone yet.
I love the engines of this vehicles, especially the 2.7TDV6
My idea is to use this as a trade in later on the new Defenders 2012.

I started describing the incident here, but have rather sent you a PM...

I am a firm believer in that there is a place for all vehicles - the luxury and soft ride on the long tar/dirt road of the Disco is outstanding!

Jammer om te hoor Koos, het self ook gister n Disco 3 met daardie 2.7TD V6 gery trek soos n stoomtrein, maar dis n Land Rover so ek twyfel of ek n LR sal koop. Maar elke ou het maar sy voorkeure . Wens ek het geld gehad vir jou lorrie, wat gaan jy met die roofrack en drawersisteem doen wat jy destyds op jou GQ gehad het.

Jules dit is n str@nt statement, mens hoor dit gereeld.
Het al 4 LR besit voorheen , dit is die rede hoekom ek weer sal koop.Dit was great voertuie.Het 2 x Hi LUXXE gehad al 2 het my langs die pad laat staan, met major gebreke.
Weet jy dat die Disco 3 na die ML beter herverkoop waarde het as die Prado
Ek ken elke LR grap wat daar is.
Jules ek het n staal gegalv roofrack wat op my GQ was , le nog hier. Die Drawer sisteem sal ek adapt AS EK DIE DISCO KOOP om dit daar in te sit.My GY roofrack is n frontrunner so miskien kan ek net nuwe brackets koop vir die Disco.

Ai tog Koos. Dis goed om te hoor jy sal bly gesels op die forum.....en wie weet.....dalk ry jy weer vinniger 'n Patrol as wat jy dink.

Maar hierdie vislyn van my hardloop nou sterk, Koos lyk my as mens eers LR gery het sukkel mens om sommer weg te breek vir ewig, vra maar vir Pierre Pille op die site hy wil nie sy LR 110 laat gaan nie. Hy soek juis n Patrol SUV maar moet besluit of hy sy Patrol bakkie of LR110 moet smous en ek het so idee dit sal dalk die Patrol bakkie wees.

Koos,ek moet by jou uitkom rakende my Patrol se venster. Sterkte met jou besluit ten minste weet jy wat om te verwag van LR

Koos, jy moet tog een ding ook onthou!!! Mens raak nooit weer ontslae van Heroien verslawing ook nie....en Heroien is nie goed vir mens nie!

Miskien praat ek myself nou vas. As jy weer die dag 'n Patrol koop, dan gaan jy my seker bel en vra watter een is nou eintlik die Heroien.

Jy gaan die Disco 3 geniet maar jy gaan die Patrol mis.
