Now that you chopped up your dash for your GPS, you get a second chance to redo it...... :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:... oh wait they wont replace the dash   ... just the airbag

So were there two rounds of recalls then?
I eventually got mine done last week.
Still have the flashing airbag light since a ‘bump’ with a taxi many years ago though.

I was at a Nissan event yesterday and the guys were asking me about my recall status with my patrol and I kinda avoided answering on the subject because I have removed my entire airbag system. :naughty:
I hope it doesn't become a problem similar to the vaccination thing where I get pestered until I'm ticked off the list.

It's a simple job to nuke the airbag light permanently so you never ever see it again ever. I posted something about it a while back, last year maybe

HAd mine done a couple of months ago. Fairly painless exercise and the Nissan mechanic gave the Patrol a clean bill of health aswell...
Given I have a list of about 10 serious to fix items he did not look very hard

Yip, thanks, I remember you gave me that advice. One day I'll get to it, but a wrinkled piece of masking tape stuck on the dash will do for now

 When I checked in at the service section, the guy said he just wants to do a walk around and identify any scratches or dents as part of their process, I told him he'd be there all day if he wanted to note all those down!

Gheez I have almost given up on this recall story. Who else has a pre-facelift GU (mine is 2004) who had airbags recalled and got it done? My VIN says no on the website, but others had theirs done.
