1999 4.2d GL (non turbo)
265000km
Services up to date (have service book and docs to trace everything)
Engine is 120%, "hum" or vibration at low revs and low speed (under 30kmh) under vehicle (Frans said it's the clutch, but who knows, been like that since I bought it)
Body moertoe (rust), chassis perfect
3" lift (I think)
33's, 15inch mags
New rear OME shocks (about 600km), front also good
ARB bullbar, IPF spotlights
Dual batteries

I'm not desperate to sell, but I thought I'll see if there's any interest here as I'd prefer to get a petrol or td. I just get too frustrated driving the slow donkey.
Some of you might know this patrol has a history, so here's a brief background.
I bought it just over a year ago. It had a brand new spray job and looked in good shape (for the untrained eye), but the guy I bought it from was hiding tons of rust and didn't disclose it. Also turned out the vehicle had rolled at some stage because the roof was not 100% aligned.
I couldn't take this to court due to costs, but won a case at small claims which is better than nothing. So I had to make the best of what I had and tried to nurse the Patrol back into a decent shape as well as I could.

Since owning it I had rust removed around the windscreen and replaced the old windcsreen, done heaps of DIY rust removal and prevention (stripped all inside panels and applied anti rust inside roof gutter areas, etc), removed all surface rust (which was surprisingly minor) under vehicle and applied anti rust, cleared gutters and other spots of rust and patched with fibreglass and body putty, etc etc. I've had the rock sliders powder coated, treated the mags and sprayed them, so at this stage the Patrol looks tons better and is in much better shape than before, however anyone interested in this patrollie must realize the body will continue rusting and is still not 100% aligned (which is not noticeable with the naked eye).

If you're interested to buy this Patrol for the engine and other parts (it'll be perfect as a game viewer, minus roof), please PM me to discuss further. Open to reasonable offers, swaps or suggestions.
I currently work in Oz, so can't post pics due to bad internet connection offshore.

Thanks
Don

The rolling chassis and drivetrain are solid, so an interested Patroller could reshell with a shell from David in Bella Bella.
Could be a really nice project vehicle.

Can you post some pics of the car?

Wonder how much would a "new" body cost? Could be a good project to convert to a double cab... :eureka:

I've got a few pics of the vehicle from when Donnie bought it.
This was before the rust removal.
I'm sure when he's back in a decent reception area he'll update them.

Thanks for the pics Dustin:) Only thing missing on these pics are the rock sliders. Will post more when in port next.
I got a price from Dawid last year for a "clean" roof and it was actually very affordable, however the fitment/spray was the big expense. I reckon if someone could do the work themselves or via a connection, it'll be well worth it.
Price? Sho, difficult question as I have no idea for how much someone out there can replace the roof or body. If someone can comment on that, determining a price will be easier.
