Hi Guys - anyone got a drawer system they want to sell or even rent out... don't feel like buying a new one for the upcoming desert trip... (even considering whether its worth having one for this trip??)
Any inputs or advice welcome.
Cheers
Chris

From me as a complete noob to patrolling: I cannot wait to start working on a drawer system. I will do it as a semi-permanent feature because it creates space and makes for easier packing. Without a drawer / crate system everything tends to be on top of each other.

Having just built and installed a drawer system I am kicking myself for not doing so sooner!!

Comparing my Kaokoland trip with a drawer to my Damaraland trip without a drawer system... Finding stuff on the Damaland trip was like tilling soil. The bottom ended up on top and then when I looked for something else the top ended up ontop again. And when I needed to get my recovery gear that was in an ammo box under everything else!!

The drawer system made a huge difference.

And I highly recommend making sure that at least one drawer will open through the small barn door so you don't have to open both sides to get at anything.

Chris, If you do have the time, build one for yourself. I agree with Biggles, best thing I ever did. There are a lot of ideas on the forum, I keep looking at them because I think there is room for improvement on mine.

I own a Patrol pickup, and , although i'd love drawers in there permanently, due to the nature of my work, i can't really.
For my Namibia and Bots trip, 30 days of camping,... i built removable sliding alu bar rails for my crates (which can be put in in a few seconds), and at the back, i threw in 4 long rectangular slider drawers from Mambo's,... i got the idea from Graham Cahill, and Auzzie 4wd Guru.

Cheap as chips, light as a feather,.... and worked, ...like a charm. Never moved.
They stored my pots and pans. Food. Coffee makers. Utensils. Gas cooker. And a shit load of other stuff. Deep and square, and stack-able.
I love them!
