We normally bolt them to bull bars but the odd wichplate is floating around ...try to get the plasma rope like Chris suggested ..
I think Warns are overpriced everywhere, but the quality is good. We do have a lot of Chinese copy winches here, issue is that Winch use is not so common here, so the local offroad community does not have the numbers to recommend the Chinese brands. I also would probably think that the Chinese made stuff here is going to be of even lower grade than South Africa or Australia.

I will get the plasma rope. The winch cradle is the key to me from the scrapyard. The Nissan price is ridiculous to have it ordered from japan!

If you can weld a bit and have an angle grinder - make one, its not difficult.
One good winch option - buy a second hand M8000 and do the motor change I suggested earlier... actually I have a complete M8000 willing to sell, but motor has been rewired before by a guy on this forum (but I didn't trust re-wiring completely), so buying the 9500 6hp motor and upgrading it is right way to go!

GOOD DAY GENTS .

PLEASE guys , if you are welding up mounts for winches , tow points , or tow bars , then make sure the welding isn't just good . It must be EXELENT welding ! !
On two occasions i've heard of tow points ripping off because of bad welding ! With one incident the towball assembly ripped free under winching , flying back through the windscreen , the passenger headrest , and out through the back window of a defender station wagon . Threading a Land Rover with a tow bracket and cable from front to back ! (the passenger was standing outside at the time) Lets go one step futher , how many of you guys use a snatch strap ? Put that onto a badly welded tow point and you have a FEW TONNES OF CATAPULT ELASTIC READY TO KILL anybody nearby . Maybe you will be lucky , and it will only go through your radiator and damage the front portion of your motor .

GUYS , JUST BE SAFE , PLEASE ! !
Brett .

Thanks for the info gents. But I can not weld at all, and don't have the welder etc. There are good welding companies here, but they don't understand and get scared when they need to weld for cars, the good welders with automotive experience will be probably more than the scrapped Nissan winch & cradle I have mentioned.

The picture of the winch cradle is very good, I emailed them, the price is good, but shipping to here makes it double, almost 2/3 the price of a warn winch!
