Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi Gents,

Fairly new here, so please bear with me. Bought me self a 2013 patrol 3.0 Gl 45000km. I have been driving it and enjoying it.

It didn't come up enough gadgets for me, therefore had to install after market radio (non GPS), reverse camera, cruise control, bonnet covers, headlight protectors. All of these were manageable. For some reason Nissan SA decided no jump seats

Spoke with the Nissan dealer and he says he cant help me in that department.

Therefore signed up to seek advice from the experts?

Its a Di. Should I be worried? I believe it had lots of problems and they have been rectified.

The GL's don't have jump seats, that is quite correct. But since so many people take theirs out to fit drawer systems etc, they are reasonably easy to get.

Are you sure about the Di, remember there is no label/marking on the car, you have to physically look at the engine and compare with the photos on JoshJ's posts explaining the differences.

Either way, it shouldn't be a big issue.

Yes it is. So says the manual ZD30DTi and the Nissan dealer in Roodepoort. Can you perhaps point me to the link of JoshJ post. Can't seem to find it!

I found the post of JoshJ and did the comparisons. It's indeed CRD so this must be a reliable engine then?

The irony is, even the insurance companies had it as Di. I guess Nissan SA didn't want this to be publicised..
