GRX 4500 Radiator

My Patrol is at Silverton Radiators in Maitland, for a proper cleaning of the cooling system. Gary just phoned and told me that my radiator is on its way out. The top hose bracket has broken off. The hose clamp still works, but it will need replacement in the near future. He doesn't have a radiator of that size, as the standard one has the hose attachment on the other side? I will need a Nissan radiator. Is this true? I know he can build up a radiator, but I assume that will be even more expensive.

Up on the farm, we had a overheating incident, caused by the vehicle sucking air into the system. The small pipe in the overflow tank had come off. Every time the engine cooled down, it sucked air. Gaan check daai pypie sommer nou... :)
Anyway, the engine seems to be fine and it runs well. It ran the last 3 weeks on a little bit of coolant diluted with boorgatwater, but according to Gary, there is no rust in the system and everything looks good.

Any ideas?

First speak to Graham and Tinus - there is a much cheaper option than Nissan!!!

Graham bedryf G-Tech motors hier in Valhalla.

I agree with Peter, Frans ( tour de Frans ) would be my first call. He is in Belville and will definitively be able to assist you or guide you in the right direction. PM me if you want his number.

Thanks guys.

:rolling: :rolling:
