----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Name: Dirk Honing - registered as 'dph'

2. Birthday and Age: 13 October, 38

3. Town and Country of residence: Bloubergstrand

4. Home Language: Afrikaans

5. Occupation/Business: Currently studying MBA, SME consulting on the side

6. Family status: Married, no kids

7. Membership - Other 4X4 Clubs and Forums: Active on 4x4Community, same nick

8. Current 4x4:
Patrol - 98 4500 GRX - started as my plaaskar, but now I'm elevating it to general 4x4. The plan is to use it for trails and as runabout on our farm in southern Namibia.
Amarok - 2013 4Motion Auto - platkar
Disco 4 - 2012 V8 - Swambo's ride
I also have a deregistered ex-Buffel Unimog 416 on the farm. It needs some TLC and at some point I'd like to give it a proper service and fix the difflocks. For now it is resting.

Jeep - 2013 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited - I need to sell it - I don't use it enough to justify owning it. I'm still struggling with the letting-go process. :)

9. Current Mods:
I bought the Patrol with
1. Ironman Lift
2. Air bag helper springs
3. Dual Battery
4. Ma'se 315/75/R16's - They are rubbing just about everywhere, so I must make a plan here.
5. Dastek chip

So far I've only added
1. Seat covers
2. Light bar for close-up offroad light.

10. Mods on wish list:

I'm planning on doing the following at some time
1. Swing arm for spare - probably need a full replacement bumper for this. I took the spare off the door, as it was killing it.
2. Front bumper - I have a Jeep stubby that I picked up somewhere along the line. I may use it to build a pipe bumper.
3. Rock sliders - Need them
4. Bash plates - The farm is on the Orange river. Picture "The Road to Hell" and you'll get the picture!
5. Steel rims - beadlocked.

11. Vehicle on wish list:
I like Defenders..., but I struggle to fit, especially into the Puma ones. ;)
Given the opportunity, I would build a monster Jeep, with a 6.4 Hemi and 40' tyres.

12. Previous 4x4's:
Freelander II 3.2
Colt 2.8 Tdi 4x4

13. Last 3 offroad or overland destinations:
Atlantis Dunes
Grabouw plantation
Our farm

14. Your favourite destination:
I love the Kgalagadi. Ek het sand op my hart.

15. Other hobbies:
I build web sites
Train in Krav Maga (TKM)
Hiking Western Cape mountains
Nou en dan I like to mountain bike
Planning on giving Kite surfing a go.
I enjoy getting my hands dirty with engine oil...

16. GPSr and Map Data used:
Main GPS - Nuvi 3597 with T4A and Garmin maps
Hiking/MTB/Tracks GPS - GPSmap 62 with Birdseye and T4A

17. Rate your 4X4 and overlanding experience:
I'm probably intermediate as a driver, but out of touch with overlanding. Grew up with it, but the wife still needs a bit of convincing.

18. Online Photo Site:

19. Photos of you and your Vehicle:
