Recaro in y61
So since November 2014 I have been trying to get better seats for my patrol. The need arised from a bad back that I have been born with, and after driving for 2 hours on any terrain/road my sciatic nerve plays up. So I need to have a better solution, the Y60 I had before I also felt that the seats were not great. Somehow the Germans manage to make their seats better.
I have managed to ship in base frames that bolt directly to the factory seat bolt holes, and are designed to accept the runners from Recaro. The base frames are made by Idealseat company of Melbourne Australia and are approved by their transport authority. The seats came from Recaro, and it was not easy, I will just mention that the local distributor is not good with customer service, and it is sad to see a company such as recaro being represented by them.
The seats are manual and don't have very high side thigh bolsters, they are marketed as orthopaedic seats, and are great, I am sure to transfer these to my future vehicles....if I ever find something better than a patrol.

Surely you did not mean that?
Not the million dollar part, but the name?
Sid, this was a Freudian slip.
The way you name was spellled was not cool in local jargon.

Hi Sid
It is not serious
But the letter 'K', followed by 'a' and then another 'k' spells a dirty word.
It was definetely not intended!

Re: Recaro in y61
Sir,
Sorry for the slip up.
That was not intended.
What is worse is that I even went back out of the reply to check the spelling.
I will need to check better before hitting send.
Still seem like a serious comfortable seat setup.

Off topic, but very interesting!vanhack wrote:no worries, I am not too serious in life anyhow.
funny, I am of Indian origin, and in Hindi we have a word called "kaka" which is the same meaning.
And a few more:
A hotel room in English, is a "hotel kamer" in Afrikaans. In Hindi it is kamarā
and
Very far in English, is "daar doer" in Afrikaans. In Hindi it is dūra
How did that happen?
