However give Commet caravans a call, bought one there for R4,999 with the bag.

Good price and a good fridge.
I bought a 49liter in 2006 with the cover (that helps to seal the temperature).
Very litle has changed, other than the interface and the handles on the side.
Never a glitch. Not once.
Only thing that tends to go after a while is the lid mechanism (skarnier).

I bought one in April and still very happy with mine, worked perfect on my whole Namibia trip and survived the River trip without any issues.
I am alos very surprised on how little power it uses, I dont have a duel battery system and the fridge did nothing to the Patrol battery over night

These waeco's are good value. But my Engel 40 is still the best thing I spent 5K on. Bought it 10years ago. Stil runs as good as the day I bought it and has never missed a beat. Only had to change the temp display battry once.
