More Manne

Michael,

IIRC, mine is a 160L/min compressor. It's a cheapish Midas job. I think I pad about R900 for it.

I've had it for two years now, and it's seen its share of work with no big issues.

I got the one at Outdoor Wh, when it was on speciak at 900. I have seen quite a few differently branded identical compressors, and i think the Midas one is same as the O/Wh one - if so, its a good price and a good enough product. :mytwocents:

Hi Michael

Ek het een by Safari Center gekoop verlede jaar. Dit was n Motoquipe een. Dink ek het R780 vir hom betaal op n uitverkoping. As jy na al die make kyk sal jy sien dat hulle basies dieselfde lyk, die verf mag dalk verskil. Shop bietjie rond, ek glo jy sal n goeie prys iewers kry.

Michael, I have a Midas one. It is identical to the Outdoor Warehouse and other stores one. If you can get it from OW and others for a good price then fine, but don't over spend on something that just has a different paint job and sticker. Mine came in a bag and I've had it for about 5 years. It has pumped up many many tyres from many many Moz trips and off road trails. Look at Makro too...

Thanks for the comments

yes Im really trying to get away as cheap as possable, and dont want to buy a compressor smaller than a 160L
I agree on the name brand thing, they are all the same.
Midas is currenly selling @ R1200 on special
Makro R1799 :surprised:
Outdoor W R1200 on special
Safari R1399
4x4 Megaworld R1707
adendorff R1345

So it doesnt seem to be that cheap any more really, but i guess its either Midas or OW depending on which color I prefer....

Yip.... Mine is yellow..... I think OW is red. But damn these things can pump a tyre up to pressure incredibly quick. The only negative is that the hose coupling, where it connects to the compressor get bliksemse hot !!! so be careful.

Ha ha yes that is a fact, I borrowed Tinus's compressor a couple of times and learnt that the hard way

Michael, this dual-head compressor of mine is gathering dust in my store room. It would could out intermittently so I replaced it, only to find out that my relay was the problem. When I fitted two standard automotive relays in parallel they were able to handle the current without cutting out, but by then I already had the new compressor fitted.

So, AFAIK it is in perfect working order. For you, very special price!

PS: The reservoir tank is not part of it any more - that still lives underneath my Patrol...
