Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Good Morning,

Does anyone know if a TB42 flywheel will fit a TD42? The maintenance manual gives the same dimensions for both and the salesman at the spares shop says the clutch kit etc are the same for both but can one of the Patrol gurus confirm please.

I have no idea, but I do have a TB42 flywheel here, so if you measure yours and I measure mine, we can find out.

Alternatively, you can have this one for the price of postage.

Just make sure about the weight of the flywheels.They might measure the same for the clutch and the crank but could differ in weight

They doen differ in weight. The TD 42 flywheel is much heavier than the petrol one.

What would the weight difference be? If its the same dimensions how would they accomplish this?

Yes the dimensions as far as the areas where the clutch,crank and ring gear fits are the same but the flywheel will be thicker
