Patrol low speed squeek

Guys, some pointers please. Busy travelling and after the last few days some being 4x4 pulling my off road trailer and a lot of higher speed 4x4 gravel roads my patrol GU has developed a severe low speed squeek. First assumption was a stone behind a brake disk guard but I lifted each wheel individually this afternoon and rotated but can't duplicate the noise. So can't be that.
I'm starting to fear worse... and I'm dropping into die hell tomorrow so need to trust the rig.
Also at times in 4x4 now get a tick, like a stick caught on prop. But that is not consistent.
Any Ideas?
Dale

Could just be a dry slip joint on your prop

Diagnoses from a distance is always a bit of guesswork.
Do you get this in both 4x4 and 2x4?
When last did you have the universals regreased?
And when breaking? Or when turning the wheel?
And when you freewheel (in neutral), do you also get the squeek?

Squeek is all the time I think but only heard at low speed. 4x4, 2x4, low range all the same.
Vehicle was recently serviced, full service so things were greased.
Had also a loud grrrrrrrrr once or twice, seems my free wheels were messing around. Locked those now and things seem to have quietened.
Really strange. Anyway, now a few hundred k's further and he's still moving so must be something inconsequential.

Probably a free wheel hub giving you hassles . Just lock it lock it with wheel spanner and speak to dawid volskenk or comerial auto parts when you are back

Thanks Tinus, that's what I have done and the trip continues. Will worry about it at home. Positive is now with the hubs locked he is much smoother between 4 high and 2 high. Can shift on the fly much smoother as you hit gravel.

Do you think the hubs must be properly greased?

It's the hand break. When he starts squeaking if you pull up the hand break a click or two it goes away. Something must be stuck or poorly adjusted...
