Welcome to patrol4x4.co.za, John! It is great to have someone on board who knows the older Patrols (like the 60 Series, which is rare in South Africa).

Thanks guys Its always Nice to fell welcome

As for the 60 series Being Rare They only sold them Here in the U.S for 8 years 1961 to 1969 and sold only 2,600
in that time , but they do tend to Last forever and they keep patroling along which helps me find them when
i need too

i would Love, to come to S.A to mainly see some Big game and do a Safari but its not in my future
Unless i hit the Lottery Im Just a working class under payed Mechanic

heck I love the fact that you all have the Y61 .. are there , many left hand drive patrols around ?

As for Pics Of the AZ Desert this is Basically from my back yard usually not so green
Image
and when it does not get water/rain which is most of the time
Image
all the pics are of the same moutntain range this is the west face

Wow, those pictures are truly beautiful.

John, you might have noticed a bit of a mixture of languages on the forum. We actually have a policy to use English (except in the Campfire section) to maximize the accessibility of the forum to those outside South Africa, but many of our members are not first language English speakers (me too) and when the guys become engaged in a discussion on a topic that they feel passionate about, they often revert to their mother tongue.

We have not enforced the language rule too rigidly until now, because we did not have many non Southern African members at all, but that has started to change...

What I am getting at is that I would like to invite you (and all others) to ask if there is anything that you can't understand due to language barriers. I am sure someone will post a translation in double quick time.
