Does anyone know what the legal amount of lights you are allowed on your vehicle?

Only 6 Facing forward.6 in total including spots and driving lights. And the spots must be on a seperate switch so they can be turned of.I dont like it because I like lights and lots of them.

I was under the impression that all lights - inline or below the origional lights must be connected to the same switch and lights above that - like on the roof - must be on a seperate switch. Maybe i'm wrong!

Any spotlight must be on it's own circuit or switch, and spots on the roof are illegal, they are supposed to be covered. But every second bakkie driving around has spots on the roof,so what does the law know about the law?

There is a difference between installed lights and lights in use. I have to believe that law can only be enforced on illegal lighting when it is in use.
I am also aware that the law prescribe a maximum amount of WATT globes. I am not sure what the limitations are and if it includes the sum between all the lights or does it only apply per light.

That same law apply for factory fitted spots. The spots are only allowed to work with the brights, and the brights can work without the spots.Dims are 55w and 90w for the brights,@12v.Hid are 30w and I think the new one's are 70w.The KC spots you buy come with 130w globes, which is illegal. Why else do you want to work spots without the brights, maybe in the bush, then you have to have a separate switch anyway. If there is one thing that work on my wrong nerves,is lights that is used wrong.I don't care how many lights are on someone else's car or what the law says, use them friendly.
