Nudge-M bullbar

Hi guys

I know I am not the most avtive member on the forum but I value the expertise and general knowledge of the forum participants :oldtimer: greately and for that reason I post my question here.Tinus grabbed a bullbar in front of me,I got a quote from Nudge-M,they are running a discount of 20 percent off on their bullbars if you pay cash till end June,standard=R8500,deluxe=R11500 these figures are approximate pre discount.Fitment is an extra R650.I do not use a high lift jack , prefer the airlift jack due to lack of experience, the bullbar is mostly for protection on the front of the vehicle-----vehicle infront of me hit a stray animal on the way back from Bots recently.Saw some negative comments on Nudge -M on the internet regarding flex on the bullbar but these are old discussions and the problems may have been addressed. Are there anyone who has experience with these bullbars on the forum, any suggestions?Your input will be appreciated

I had one on my previous patrol.
I was generally happy with it, except for some rust making an appearance after approx 2 years - just make sure they get a good sandblasting and powdercoat job done. I dont think they did neccesary preparation for normal spray painting. I have heard similar from other owners as well. MAybe ask for a rust warranty.

erasmusdries, I have an ONCA bullbar sitting in my garage ( I'm in Alberton, just south of JHB). It belongs to Wimpie ( he's out in Lichtenburg..... thats why it in my garage....  ). His Patrol burnt out a few months ago. This bullbar was not on the Patrol when it burnt, and is in pretty good condition. See this thread

I also have the Nudge-M and are very happy with it because it is in the same space as the standard bumper and not like the others that increase the length of the Patrol.

I have a NUDGE"m on the Prado - after my mishap in Kalahari it did get bend a little along that lipp channel at the bottom- nothing major.

What Kobus Herrie says about the depth of the Nudge'm bumper not true any more, oom Jimmy now makes the Nudge'm WINCH compatible and that means it prodrudes further from the car [something i did NOT want .. but did not have an option]

As price goes -- Best valued "Bull bar" here in SA -- even 2nd hand bumers with ARB stickers on goes for more.

Take the "standard" -- the little 'driving lights" [Hella spots] are not really worth that extra - and you will likely fit your own spotlights anyway.

Thank you Chris,Rickster,Herrie and Oom Mac for responding.Rickster I had a look at the bullbar you have ,only problem is it will need preparation and respraying whilst the the standard can be bought for R6800,no work to be done. Will place an order to qualify for the discount.Thanx again

Yoou could look at the ARB copy Summit 4x4 sell - identcal to teh ARB at half the price - in my mind better looking than the NudgeM.
The owner of Summit is Bruce (0824728908), call him, he is a member of this forum but not very active.
See my bullbar from Summit below!
