Indicator in Rear Tail light

Is it at all possible to convert one of the brake lights at the rear into an indicator? Yes, it will be red, but flickering... HELP PLEASE!! Is there a loom inside the cabin? Or will i have to take my indicator wire through to the indicator in the rear bumper?

Hi Tjaart. Just did my lights today, mine had all the wiring behind the lights into a nissan plug.I tested which one is which, fitted some bulb holders, did some wiring and Bob's your auntie!
Made my top red the flicker, bottom stop and tail and connected the right center to reverse.

Did you have to remove the light fitting from the body? Did you remove he brake light from the top reflector? Did it take a long time? I really want to do this.

What type of bulb fitting did you fit and how?
I found that the normal press and turn type bulb fitting was too thin to fit (or more accurately the light fitting plastic is too thick).
If you have images available that would be appreciated!
